Exciting changes have been made to Edmonton’s bus network! A Bus Network Redesign launched on April 25th, 2021 and our communities have all new bus routes or on-demand transit to help residents get where they need to go.
The bus network redesign means that residents will have more direct routes and bus service in the evenings and on weekends, too. So, no matter where you live, transit changes have taken place. Let’s take a look at the transit changes in MLC’s Edmonton communities:
Desrochers Villages
Desrochers Villages has a brand new bus route! Route 721 will travel along Desrochers Gate, Desrochers Blvd, Desrochers Dr, and 35th Ave. This means that all of Desrochers is near the bus route! Route 721 will connect to the Century Park Transit Centre. Full details on route frequency and a bus stop map can be found on the City’s website.
Graydon Hill, Keswick Landing & Keswick on the River
Graydon Hill, Keswick Landing, and Keswick on the River now have On Demand Transit! This super convenient service allows riders to pre-book a shuttle to pick them up at a designated stop in their neighbourhood and connect them to a transit centre (hub), or vice-versa. Here are the details:
- Shuttles may be booked up to 60min in advance
- There is peak and off-peak service, including weekends
- Once the shuttle leaves the neighbourhood, the route is direct to the transit centre so that you get to your destination quickly, and
- The trip can be booked using a smartphone app, online or by phoning the On Demand Transit call centre.

West Secord and Secord Heights
West Secord and Secord Heights are now home to the brand new Route 919. This replaces the previous Route 315 and offers more direct bussing, more often . A full loop of Secord is included in Route 919, which then leaves the neighbourhood and connects directly to the Lewis Farms Transit Centre. A Connected City
It’s exciting to see that all of our Edmonton communities have access to transit options! More frequent stops, more direct routes, and on-demand services mean that all of our communities are connected throughout the city.
