Despite circumstances looking a little different this year, the back to school excitement can’t be contained! We were so happy to host our School’s in Session pre-booked event on September 12th in Secord Heights with our special guest Justine Ma! In case you missed out, here’s how it went:
A Kitchen Where You’ll Love Making Lunches
First stop on the tour was Sterling Homes Edmonton’s Harmony show home, complete with 2,374 square feet and a fully finished legal basement suite. In the gorgeous kitchen with its green cabinetry, you’d find the first vignette specially curated by Justine: a cool lunch kit package from Head Shoulders Knees & Toes and a customizable insulated drink container by Calgary company LAMOSE. Why not pack a delicious lunch every day, even if your kids are taking their classes from the comfort of home?!
Back to School Fashion
Next up on the show home tour was Pacesetter Homes’ 1,673 square foot front attached Willow floor plan, featuring a brilliant blue main floor fireplace and 3 bedrooms and 2.5 bathrooms. On the second floor of this home, you would find a bedroom fit for a princess – or Justine’s daughter, Ruby! Back to school fashion is a MUST, and this vignette featured an adorable customized sweater from MINI Street, an Edmonton based kid’s clothing brand that focuses on sustainable fashion for kids!
A Bathroom Oasis to Relieve Your Stress
The third stop on the tour was at Daytona Homes’ Macan show home, a showstopper of a home with 1,872 square feet of living space. Event guests toured the home, including its spacious open concept main floor, three bedrooms, and upstairs bonus room.
With all of the stress of back to school, it’s important to take a few moments for self care. In the large upstairs bathroom, Justine curated a self-care oasis that included bath goods and a cozy bathrobe from Cloud Nine Pajamas. *Sigh of relief* – ahhh!
A Den Perfect for Homework and Working From Home!
The final show home on the tour was City Homes’ Sicily M 2000+ square foot single family front attached home! This gorgeous home features a must-see master bedroom with vaulted ceiling and a five piece master ensuite. The main floor features a den where Justine created a home office, perfect for homework productivity. This vignette featured colouring books from Plum Home & Design, desk accessories from IKEA Canada, and decorative items made by Justine herself!
Adding to Edmonton’s Collective of Instagrammable Walls
Arguably, the piece de resistance of the tour was the three school themed Instagrammable walls, designed by Justine herself! People loved stopping to take photos in front of the walls, while enjoying treats from Revolution Ice Cream and checking out the items included in the swag bags!
Thank you to Justine Ma for all of her great back to school ideas, and to all of the people that attended our physically distanced private event!
