Residents of West Secord and Secord Heights can start their happy dance! In December 2021 the City of Edmonton approved construction of the Lewis Farms Recreation Centre.
Lewis Farms Recreation Centre
This multi-purpose West Edmonton recreation centre will feature amenities for everyone:
- Fitness centre
- Pool area with dive tank, waterslide, and lazy river
- Ice rinks
- Gymnasium
- Library branch, and
- Outdoor park spaces

The current design can be viewed on the City of Edmonton’s website, but distinctive features include:
- A roof structure that creates a light turbine: panels reflect changes in the environment and seasons
- A separate wing for an academic centre and daycare
- A bouldering wall – no ropes necessary here!
- Inclusive change rooms and washrooms
West Edmonton Location
The Lewis Farms Recreation Centre will be located along 92 Avenue and Winterburn Road. This is within walking distance of West Secord, and just a couple of minutes via car from Secord Heights!
